* Un yute’ yo’ / You threw me away – This is the literal translation. But as a reader pointed out in the comments, in the context of relationships it means to dump someone or leave a relationship

  1. *Durå-ku måti = Duru hao kumåti ~ You kept crying. She’s contracting “duru hao”. Duru you here often with “di”, but it’s okay to also omit it. It’s still understood.

    Also these:
Un yute’ yo’ ai neni. – You translated it literally, which is fine, but in the context of relationships, yute’ is to dump someone or leave a relationship.

Ya håfa yo’ taimanu på’go guini? – The translation of this is closer to “And how am I (to move on from) here now?”

    Lao enfin, maolek i pinila’-mu!!!

    1. Dångkolo’ na Si Yu’os Ma’åse! I will update all transcriptions or translations you provided feedback on.

Duru kumåti – Thank-you for clarifying that this line has a contraction. I can hear it clearly now!

Un yute’ yo’ ai neni – I appreciate the wider context of the translation. Getting beyond a word-for-word translation is an area of growth for me, and I appreciate this kind of feedback.

Ya håfa yo’ taimanu på’go guini – Thank-you so so much! I stared at this one for a while because I knew the individual words but didn’t know how to translate the entire thought.

      Hu agradesi hao!
